Maureen "Marnie" Francis Denise Baker

Maureen "Marnie" Francis Denise Baker (62) of Morrilton passed away in her home surrounded by family on Friday, October 1, 2021. She was born on September 15, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Gerald Leonard Sharkey and Denise Joan Chenier Sharkey.
Marnie is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years Michael P. Baker; sisters Patricia Hodges and Theresa Sharkey. Left to carry on her legacy is her son Troy and wife Holly Baker of Greenbrier, daughter Kelley and husband Brandon Cates of Morrilton, and son Caleb Baker of Morrilton, along with her grandchildren, Andrea, Lacey, and Will Baker; Anthony Jones, Christopher, Jaxon, and Elle Cates. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Joan Hamlett of Nevada, Karen Nichols of Alaska, and several nieces and nephews.
Marnie lived a life full of love, and she was truly a woman of God who shined her light for all to see. She was involved in women's ministry in her home church in Alaska before moving back to Arkansas. She also served in hospitality and was a member of New Life Church in Conway, Arkansas. Her legacy and memory will be carried on as she has left this world, only to enter her forever home, where we all will see her again one day.
A memorial service will be held at New Life Church of Greenbrier at 43 Glenn Ln. at 10:30 Saturday, October 9, 2021, with family visitation and lunch after.
