John Henry Clay, 77, of Wooster, AR, passed away on April 10, 2025. He was born on March 12, 1948, in Sidon, AR to George Clay and Mary White-Clay.
Henry was in the Army from 1968 to 1969, serving in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged from the Army in July of 1972, then enlisted the Army Reserves and later enlisted in the National Guard. Henry served a total of 20 years before retiring. He enjoyed doing bodywork and tinkering on stuff. Henry worked at Johnson’s Body Shop Polyvend, International.
He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Sarah Clay; brother, Donald Clay; and sister, JoAnn Johnson.
Henry is survived by son, Johnny (Pamela) Clay; siblings, Martha Bennett, Dorothy Drimel, Mary Formoso, Jimmy Clay, Tennie (Steve) Perez, and Linda (Chris) Ozier; grandchildren, Kelsey (Grant) Burns and Kelly (Justin) Hobbs; and honorary grandchildren, Kim Kerr and Drew Grissom.
There will be a graveside service Wednesday, April 16th at 2:00 pm, Fairbanks Cemetery, and a visitation on Tuesday, April 15th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Sand Springs Baptist Church.
