Charles Freeman, retired postmaster of Greenbrier, AR, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 12:40 am at Magnolia Landing, Greenbrier, AR. Mr. Freeman was born in McGintytown, AR, on June 7, 1930, to Sam and Bertha McGinty Freeman. He was one of 8 children born to Sam and Bertha; his siblings were as followed, Alvin, Doice, Farrell, Lance, Gene, Izettie Allen, and Alma Joyce Harrington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Glover Freeman, of Greenbrier; daughter, Charlotte of Menomonee Falls, WI; son, Blaine of Maumelle, AR; grandson, Christopher Leipold (Kim) of Cape Coral, FL; grandson, Kyle Leipold (Melissa) of Hartland, WI; grandson, Jesse Pounders (Laura) of Covington, LA; bonus grandson, Ryder Ward of Poplar Bluff, MO; great granddaughters, Tatumn, Finley, Cora, Maris, Iva, Mara; great grandson, Everett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and the funeral service at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene, 64 N. Broadview St, Greenbrier, AR.
In lieu of flowers to the Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene or charity of choice.
