Amy Lorraine Rutledge

Amy Lorraine Rutledge, 82, of Greers Ferry, Arkansas went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on July 25, 2026. She was born in Morgan City, Mississippi on June 27, 1944, to James Elmo England and Dellie Corrine Rush England.

Amy lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. She was a devoted member of the United Pentecostal Church of Greers Ferry, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and attending church events. Her unwavering faith was a guiding light throughout her life and was reflected in the kindness and compassion she shared with everyone she met.

Amy had a true gift for sewing and enjoyed creating beautiful things with her hands. She loved life in general and embraced each day with a thankful heart, always finding joy in the simple blessings around her. Above all else, she loved her big family. They were the center of her world, and nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by those she loved.

Her grandbabies and great-grandbabies were among her greatest treasures. One of the memories her family will cherish most is the tea parties she would lovingly host with her great-grandchildren when they were little. Those special moments, filled with laughter, imagination, and love, created memories that will be treasured for generations.

One of Amy's greatest joys was singing. She loved to lift her voice in song, and while she would often laugh and say she couldn't sing, those who knew her understood that it wasn't about perfection—it was about the happiness and praise that filled her heart. Her joyful spirit and genuine love for music will always be remembered.

Amy's legacy is one of unwavering faith, selfless love, and a heart devoted to her family. She touched countless lives with her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit. Though she will be deeply missed, her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family will forever cherish her memory, holding close the lessons she taught, the laughter she shared, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. She will always be loved, forever remembered, and never forgotten by all who were blessed to know her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Rutledge; parents, James Elmo England and Dellie Corrine Rush England; siblings, James William England Sr, Charles Cecil England, Melvin “Sonny” England, Jerry England, Joel Elmo England Sr, Jerry Elton England, Donald Ray England Sr., and Catherine Wolford.

Amy is survived by her children, Kenny (Shari) Rutledge, and Susan (Troy) Sheets, Amy “Beth” Ray all of Greers Ferry, AR; seven grandchildren, Kevin (Kayla) Rutledge, Kim (Dean) Smith, Lauren (Spencer) Feltman, David “DJ” Ray, Jon (Kaylie) Odom, Jeremy Odom, Taylor Odom; twelve great grandchildren; siblings, Sidney England of Heber Springs, AR, Keith (Jan) England of Quitman, AR, Mary (Fidel) Deleon of Pearland, TX, Dee Dee (Roger) Vanlandingham of Batesville, MS; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 10:00am to 11:00am on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
