Proceeded in death by her parents: Jim Ed and Nancy Burroughs; husband, James Clarence (Toby) Carpenter; son, Doyle Gene Carpenter; and her brothers, Cotton, Ralph, Junior, Ray, Lester and JC Burroughs.
She is survived by her brother, WH Burroughs; children, Darrel Dewayne (Wayne) and wife Debbie Carpenter of Quitman; daughter, Linda Lou Stithem and husband Bret of Rabbit Ridge; son, Toby Dee Carpenter and wife Ruth Ann of Gravesville; son, Jody Don Carpenter and wife Denice of Gravesville; son, Denny Ray Carpenter and wife Tina of Bee Branch; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
