Archibald Douglass (Doug/Tiger) Odom Jr., 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Greenbrier, Ar. Wednesday October 10, 2018. He was born July 26th 1944 in Champaign, Illinois to Archibald Sr. and Eloise Odom. A Green Beret Airborne Ranger, he fought for his country in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Silver Star, and a host of other accommodations. Doug made over 1500 jumps as an Airborne Ranger with a dozen being in combat. A proud patriot, he was the previous state captain of the Arkansas Patriot guard. Doug was inducted in the Arkansas Veterans Hall of Fame in 2013. He is survived by his Loving wife Debbie Palmer of Greenbrier, his sons: Doug Odom III, Beau Odom, both of Conway, Geoff Odom of Nashville, Tennessee. Step Sons: Cody Lewis of Greenbrier and Chad Edwards of North Little Rock, Arkansas. Grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Landon, Carter, Peyton, Abigail, Alex, Anna, Hayden Odom and Sara Boisvert. Great Grandchild: Analea. Step Grandchildren: Mallory, Kimberly, Tyler, and Timber (Precious).

Visitation will be on Monday October 15, 2018 at Bishop Crites Funeral home from 6-8pm in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Doug’s memorial service will be Tuesday October 16, 2018 11Am at Cedar Heights Baptist Church in North Little Rock with interment at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at 1PM. The procession will be provided by the Patriot Guard riders of Arkansas and Doug will be buried with full military honors.
