Arthur James Childers

Arthur James Childers, 85, of Conway passed from this life on Monday February 16, 2015. He was born August 24, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Mable Childers. Mr. Childers joined the Army Air Corps at age 16 and proudly served his county for the next 22 years. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea.
In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by a daughter, Elisa Childers, a son Donald Childers and a sister Frances Corbin.
Survivors include his son Arthur Childers II and wife Misty of Stilwell, Kansas, grandchildren Miranda Moore of Conway, Jessica Childers of Kansas, Kristin Childers of California, A.J. Childers III of Kansas and Lauren Childers of Kansas. Other survivors include three great grandchildren and a brother Kenneth Jones of North Carolina.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be 11am Friday, February 20, 2015 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
