Our beloved, Austin Trevor Dantes, passed away on May 27, 2018
in Conway, Arkansas. He was a 19-year-old sophomore at the
University of Central Arkansas where he was studying exercise
science.  He was a proud member of Alpha Sigma Phi
Fraternity.

Austin was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and
friend.  He brought immense joy to those that knew and loved
him.  His smile was warm and sweet, just like he was.

He was extremely passionate and disciplined, spending every
moment possible working out at the gym, coaching and training
others in health and fitness and enjoying healthy meals and protein
shakes.  His dedication, drive and determination left us all
in awe.

He loved skateboarding, video games, traveling, music, chess,
inspirational quotes and his car.

Austin was a complex and fascinating soul who left us much too
soon.  He was smart, funny, focused and witty - always ready
with a joke and a quick comeback.  Although our hearts are
broken, we rejoice in the legacy of love that he leaves
behind.  He was a bright light that death will never dim.

He is survived in death by his loving mother and stepfather,
Jennifer and Kevin Whatley, his father and stepmother, Anthony and
Tonya Dantes, his brother, Tyler Dantes, his grandparents, Jerry
and Barbara Phelps, Pat Whatley and Sam and Doris Medrano, his
aunts and uncles, Dianna Phelps, Jerry Phelps, Donna Huseth, Emily
Whatley, Allen and Jeanie Dantes and Nicole Dantes, and several
cousins and extended family members.  He is preceded in death
by his grandfathers, Audie Whatley and Arthur Dantes, Jr. and his
great grandmothers, Dorothy Phelps and Geneva Preston.

A memorial gathering honoring Austin's life will be held at
Faith Community Church of the Nazarene in Atlanta, Texas on Friday,
June 1, 2018 from 4:00pm-6:00pm.  Flowers can be sent to Faith
