Barbara Pauline Jevicky, daughter of Barney and Mary Wilson, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. She was 93 years old. She was born in Zeigler, Illinois, married and raised her children in Chesterton, Indiana and later moved to Guy/Greenbrier, Arkansas, where she spent the rest of her days lovingly called by many names. She was “Ma” and “Mom” to her sons, and many of their friends whom she cared for almost like they were her own. She was “Grandma” and “Granny” to her grandchildren, their friends, and to the neighborhood children whom she loved to shower with “goodies”. She would willingly step in to be someone’s Mom or Grandma whenever they might need one. Pauline lived a life full of love and devotion. She faithfully volunteered at Soul Food Cafe Mission for over a decade, serving cakes, cookies, and donuts that were donated from local shops, which she would serve at the Mission. She used to “make her rounds”, as she called it, to visit her family and friends on a regular basis and take them gifts of various kinds (especially food which she lovingly baked!). She brought joy everywhere she went, with her peaceful demeanor and positive outlook on life. She seemed to see only the good in others, and she loved unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Jevicky, her second husband Jim Schmitt, her sister, Georgia (and Lloyd) Pigg, and their daughter Carolyn Wilson, her cousin Charles (and Deloris) Taylor, and their children Betty Sue, Buddy, Karen Kay and John.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Ed (and Margo) Jevicky, Frank (and Jo Ann) Jevicky, and Mike Jevicky; 4 grandchildren, Eddie (and Robin) Jevicky, Matthew (and Andrea) Jevicky, Michael Jevicky, and Danielle (and Daniel) Moore; 10 great grandchildren; her nieces and nephews, Nancy (and Chuck) Seter, Bob (and Tammy) Taylor, Mary Ann Fonner, and their children and great grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed, but we know that her prayers will always be with us.
