Barbara Anne Mcmanus
September 6, 1942 — November 2, 2021
Barbara Anne Duckworth McManus, 79, of Guy, Arkansas departed this earth on November 2, 2021 from kidney failure complications at Heritage Living Center in Conway, Arkansas. She was born on September 6, 1942 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Dale Duckwork and Virginia Morris Monan.
She graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1960 and in the early 80’s she went back to nursing school and became a registered nurse. She had two sisters, Lynne Poe and Nancy Smart when the three of them would get together you can count on a lot of story telling and laughter. They always had a fun time together. Barbara had a love of sewing and all animals, especially her 2 little poodles, Bitsy and Bo. She’s had various jobs over the years from working as a Vet Tech to training Border Collies, raising sheep to selling wool, teaching for Home Health along with being a Home Health Nurse.
She is preceded by her parents, Dale Duckworth and Virginia Monan; and husband, Theron Garrett McManus.
Barbara is survived by her children, Mike Fugatt, and Laura (Tim) Blake; grandchildren, Josh Fugatt, Tori Fugatt, Taylor Fugatt, Zak Fugatt, Stephen (Bethany) Blake, Adam (Morgan) Blake; great great grandchildren, Avery Blake, Ezra Blake, and Oakley Blake; siblings, Lynne Poe, and Nancy Smart; wonderful companion and friend, Tommy Thompson; stepdaughters, Gayle McManus, and DeeDee Engle; stepson, Rory McManus.
Graveside will be at 10:00am on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Old Liberty Cemetery, 355 Dawn Road, Cleveland, Arkansas.
