Bessie Marie (Tarkington) Bearden

Bessie Marie (Tarkington) Bearden, 86, of Guy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She was born in Guy, Arkansas on Sunday, September 20, 1936, to the late William Cecil and Clara Montine (Stacks) Tarkington.
Mrs. Bessie was a genuine legend of Guy and a member of the First Pentecostal Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Bessie was a beauty operator in Guy for fifty years where she owned her own business. She was a mighty prayer warrior for everyone.
Those left to cherish the wonderful memories of Bessie are her son, Ricky Dale Bearden of Guy, grandson, Michael, granddaughter, Phoenix, great-grandchildren, Ryan, Paige, and Jordan, sisters, MaeDean Bryant of Guy and Charlene Fortner (Mickey) of Mt. Vernon; brother-in-law, Bobby Hart of Carlisle, special friend and neighbor Brenda Dowdy and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Delmer Darrell Bearden; a son, David Bearden; sisters, Joycelene Tarkington and Dessie Hart, and daughter-in-law, Jane Bearden and life-long best friend and sister of 79 years, Imogene Woods.
Funeral services with be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2023, at the First Pentecostal Church in Guy, Arkansas at with Bishop Michael Blakley officiating. Burial will follow at Copperas Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the First Pentecostal Church in Guy.
Pallbearers will be Marty Powell, Mickey Fortner, Mitchell Fortner, Kenneth Farrell, Patrick Rooney and Jason Keeler.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Bobby Hart.
