Billy Edward Wilson, 89, of Quitman Arkansas went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2025. He was born in Quitman, Arkansas on February 26, 1936, to Vivan Wilson and Ora Mae Leslie Wilson.
After many dedicated years with Amtran, Billy retired and found his greatest joy in gardening. He poured his heart into his garden each season, growing vegetables, he delighted in sharing with family, friends, and neighbors. His generosity was as abundant as his harvests.
Billy had a deep love for music, especially old Southern gospel. He never missed a chance to sing, often lifting the spirits of those around him with his voice. Even during his time in the nursing home, he brought joy to others by singing and entertaining with the music he loved so much.
More than anything, Billy loved his family. He cherished every moment, every story, and every memory shared together. His gentle heart and giving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Greenbrier Nursing Home, and to Ann, Sue, Krystal, and his church family for their kindness, care, and love shown to Billy during his time there.
