Robert “Bobby” Darrell Martin, resident of Greenbrier, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, June 20, 2024, in the comfort of his home with his loving wife, Leslie, and his loyal dog Ginger by his side at the age of 60. Bobby was born in Conway, Arkansas on December 13, 1963, the son of Robert “Bob” Martin and Marilyn (Smith Martin) Tubbs.

Bobby was a 1982 graduate of Greenbrier High School, and he spent his childhood growing up in Wooster, Arkansas. As a young man, Bobby worked as a ranch hand riding and breaking horses and living the life of a cowboy. Bobby spent many hours on the back of a horse. There was not a horse that he could not ride though many gave him trouble and a few broken bones. His family and friends favorite memories involve Bobby and a horse. Bobby was a member of the Arkansas Cowboy’s Association and the Arkansas Rodeo Association. In 1980, Bobby competed in the Arkansas High School Team Roping Championship.

Later in life, he married Leslie Thorn Martin, May 31, 2018. As Bobby’s health declined, Leslie stood by his side and cared for him with love. Bobby loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he enjoyed listening to the old gospel hymns.

Bobby will forever be remembered for his horsemanship knowledge and skills, as well as his kind and caring nature. He always loved animals especially horses and dogs. He was a loving son, husband, brother, uncle, father and grandfather. Bobby had many passions in his life, but the greatest of those were his Lord and his family.
