Bruce Paul Writtenhouse

Bruce Paul Writtenhouse, age 58, passed away on April 18, 2026 from severe injuries related to a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Morrilton on September 17, 1967, to George and Lila Writtenhouse.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Tina Writtenhouse.

He is survived by his devoted partner of over 20 years, Cathy Morgan; her daughter, Tabitha (Zach) Fielder; his step-sons Adam and Josh, his sister, Shirley (Billy) Morris; his brother, Wayne Writtenhouse; as well as many nieces and nephews, along with a wide circle of friends and extended family who will miss him dearly.

Bruce enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was known for the joy he found in simple moments—whether that was relaxing with loved ones or playing PlayStation with his buddies. He was a skilled welder who took pride in working with his hands, a craft he dedicated many years to before retiring earlier this year due to lung cancer.

Bruce will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his loyalty to those he loved, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life.

A celebration of life will be held on May 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wilcox Family Funeral Home in Greenbrier. This will be a come-and-go gathering for family and friends to pay their respects and share memories.
