Carl Allen

Carl Edmon Allen 87 of Greenbrier died October 26, 2011. He was
born May 19, 1924 in Quitman, Arkansas to John Ed Allen and Ruthie
Holley Allen. Mr. Allen loved the outdoors and coon hunting, was an
avid gardener and loved his dog Chuey. He was a born again
Christian and a member of Faith Baptist church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife May Frances
Sweeney Allen, son Jerry Allen, brothers J.D. Allen, and Shelby
Allen, sisters Myrtle Davis, Ovie Rooney and Letha Nelson.

Survivors include daughters Jean McBay and Dan, and Carla Fay
Pelky and Tim, sons Charlie Edmon Allen and Bonnie, Carl Wayne
Allen and Mary, and Fredric Michael Allen and Laura. Other
survivors include sisters Christine, Geneva and Reva, brothers
Cecil, Melvin and Alton, 11 grandchildren and numerous great
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday October 29 at Faith
Baptist Church in Greenbrier with Brother Allen Jackson
Officiating. Burial will follow in Higden-McLehaney Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday October 28 from 6pm to 8pm at
Bishop-Griffin Funeral Home in Greenbrier.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
