Carlton Hodge

Carlton Joseph Hodge Jr., 52 of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away on August 21, 2026. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on June 19, 1974, to Carlton Joseph Hodge Sr. and Deborah Hodge.

Carlton was a remarkable man whose curiosity, intelligence, faith, and genuine concern for others touched the lives of those around him. He was a true scholar at heart, always eager to learn, discover, and understand more about the world around him.

Research was not simply a hobby for Carlton it was a passion. If he wasn’t working, chances were he could be found on his computer, researching and learning about ways to make the world a better place. He had an inquisitive mind and a deep desire to find answers, especially when it came to helping others and finding ways to heal the world.

Above all, Carlton loved the Lord very much. His faith was an important part of who he was. He loved reading the Bible and spent many hours studying Scripture, both on his own and together with his family. He enjoyed learning and discussing the Word of God, sharing his thoughts and growing in his faith alongside those he loved. Carlton was a member of First Baptist Church in Hot Springs for nine years, where his faith and love for the Lord remained an important part of his life.

Carlton also cared deeply for his community and the people in it. He wanted to see those around him thrive and believed in the importance of making a difference. His desire to learn was matched by his desire to help, and much of the research he pursued was driven by his hope of finding ways to make life better for others and, in his own way, help heal the world.

Carlton will be remembered for his brilliant mind, his endless curiosity, his deep love for the Lord, his compassion for his community, and his desire to leave the world a better place than he found it. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, and the impact he made will not soon be forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carlton Hodge Sr,; mother, Deborah Hodge; step-father; and two brothers, Ben Hodge and Roy Hodge.

Carlton is survived by his wife of 19 years, Rhonda Hodge; children, Renee Barrett, Ashley Hodge, Kayla Hodge, Benjamin Hodge; eight grandchildren; siblings, Tina Patton, Jeff Hodge, Mary Cothren, Tosha.
