Carolyn Slaughter Rice

On Saturday, April 10, 2021, Carolyn Slaughter Rice, loving wife and mother of three, passed away at the age of 51. Carolyn was born in East St. Louis, Illinois to Clarence Slaughter and Wanda Adams.
Carolyn had a passion for bringing joy to others. She found joy in her children and grandchildren. She was known for sarcastic wit, infectious laughter, and her kind compassionate spirit.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Slaughter and her Aunt, Kathy Elder. She is survived by her mother, Wanda Adams. By her husband, Frank Rice Sr., her three children, Krista Williams, Ashley Slaughter, and Frank Rice Jr.; her eight grandchildren, Zoey, Brenden, Abel, Abel, Paris, Noah, Samara, Jesse, and Adelyn, also her three siblings.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 17th, 2021 at Toad Suck Parks at 1pm.
