Carroll Dean Pool
November 21, 1935 — January 8, 2022
Carroll Dean Pool, 86, of Greenbrier, Arkansas climbed into the belly of the C-130 for the last time and flew it home to heaven on January 8, 2022. He was born in Humeston, Iowa on November 21, 1935 to Albert Alphus Pool and Rosie Mae (Kalkus) Pool.
Carroll’s favorite past time was going to the church and playing the guitar. One of his other greatest passions were serving his country for 33 years in the United States Air Force as a hydraulic technician on C-130s. Other than spending time with his kids he loved playing with grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by everyone he has ever met.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin Pool, Calvin Pool, Raymond Pool; sisters, Irene Rockhold; daughter, Tina Ray Pool.
Carroll is survived by his loving wife of 62 ½ years, Ann Pool; children, Kerry (Barbara) Pool, Lisa (Robert) Wilcox, Ginger (Tim) Goben; grandchildren, Desiree Murray, Wesley (Lauren) Wilcox, Heather (Matt) Cain, Marshall Ray, Adam (Eryn) Pool, Jennifer Linn; great grandchildren, Steven (CC) Goben, Gavin Goben, Skyler Dickinson, Legend Murray, Kaelyx Murray, Jed Dean Wilcox, Wes Oliver Wilcox, Tilly Jo Wilcox, Jax Cain and one on the way Daxton Steel; sister, Wanda Blessing.
A memorial service will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at LifeSong Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Arkansas with Brother Freddie Wilcox officiating.
