Catherine H. Graham, 74, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

She was born on September 3, 1951, in Homer, Louisiana, to the late F.T. and Edna Hightower. Catherine was a wife, mother, and proud ‘Graham-ma,’ and taking care of her family was simply what she did. Her family takes comfort in knowing she and Freddy were together again on July 4th, for their 56th wedding anniversary. They shared a life with humor, including Freddy's favorite introduction of her as his "Worst Wife"—a nickname she proudly embraced because she was, after all, his only wife.

As a lifelong horse enthusiast, Catherine often said that if there weren’t horses and dogs in heaven, she didn’t want to go. From childhood through her final days, horses remained one of her greatest joys, and her home was known as a retirement home for horses and dogs. Her family imagines her surrounded by horses, finally getting the chance to ride every one she ever wanted.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Graham of New Orleans, Louisiana; her son, Jason Graham and wife Deanna of Quitman, Arkansas; three grandchildren she adored, Colt, Luke, and Bailey Jo Graham; her brother, Joe Hightower and wife Laverne of Summerfield, Louisiana; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddy Graham; her parents, F.T. and Edna Hightower; two infant sons; her sister, Frances (Hightower) Minchew; and her brothers John S. and Pat Hightower.

Those who knew and loved Catherine will miss her deeply but her memory will live on in the hearts and stories of all who knew her. Perhaps most comforting of all is the thought that she is once again with Freddy—and that heaven, for Catherine, has plenty of horses and dogs.
