Charles R. Baker, 78, passed away December 21, 2019, in Conway Arkansas. He was born June 8, 1941, at Beaman, Missouri, a son of Randall A. and Helen O. Beel Baker. He graduated from high school at Garden City, Missouri, and went immediately into the United States Marine Corps.
Following his honorable discharge from the Marines, Charles trained as a computer analyst. He worked across the United States employed in that capacity by various companies and government entities. He worked for the State of Missouri, Systems and Computer Technology, Acxiom and Boeing, among others. After retirement, he was a licensed real estate agent and a licensed insurance agent in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Charles and Linda Lois Fletcher of Archie, Missouri, were united in marriage April 10, 1965. Their union was blessed with a son, Jeffrey Charles, and a daughter, Stephanie Edith. Linda preceded in him death November 18, 2011.
A loving father and grandfather, Charles is sorely missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Marcella Baker, Loganville, Georgia, his daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Myron Putnam, Maumelle, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Ali (Garrison) Bemis, Reagan and Raleigh Baker, Gavin and Gabrielle Putnam. He is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Stritch and Jane (Bob) Lemmer, both of Harrisonville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
