Charles A. Tapley, 88 of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2023. He was born on October 31, 1934 in Greenbrier, Arkansas to the late Alfred Tapley and Vivian (Glover) Tapley.
Charles was a cowboy at heart, his loyalty, dry humor, and physical stature, complimented his way of life...he even walked with the strength and look of a true cowboy. One of his most cherished accomplishments was the Arkansas Rodeo Association Champion Team Roper in 1974. Charles was an avid croppie fisherman and loved camping with friends. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed socializing with them around a big black wash pot of frying fish or a coffee pot and piece of pie. He enjoyed meeting the Coffee Club members at the Arkansas Peddlers Antique Mall on a regular basis. Charles served Faulkner County as a Deputy Sheriff until his retirement. Charles could often be seen at the Faulkner County Singing Conventions (in honor of his beloved and talented wife Helen Mack) and he attended Springhill Baptist Church and he will be remembered as a friend to all and a true example of a good man.
