Chase Davis McCasland was born on February 21, 1996, and died in a single-vehicle accident on December 23, 2021, at the age of 25. He is survived by his father, Kin McCasland of Maumelle, AR, his mother, Laurie Rodwell of Conway, AR, his brother, Connor McCasland of Conway, AR, and his grandmother, Ramona McCasland of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by three aunts, three uncles, two cousins, and countless friends who loved him. He is also missed by Scout, the family’s Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
Chase was born in Little Rock, AR, and attended Conway public schools until his Senior year when he transferred to Perryville High School, where he graduated in 2014.
Chase was a graduate of Arkansas Elite Welding Academy, although he had recently returned to the tree service business with K3 Tree Care in Conway. The tree service business was his passion and he first learned the business working for Voegele Tree Service while he was still in high school. He was a hard worker and took pride in a job done well.
Among Chase’s many memorable attributes were his lanky 6’5” frame, his deep voice, his distinctive swagger, and his long curly blonde hair. He had an eye for photography and took many memorable photos, especially of sunsets. Chase loved listening to many different genres of music, watching football and comedies, working on his beloved 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 and his 2005 Chevy Tahoe, and driving country back roads, Chase enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. His dry sense of humor, quick wit, congenial nature, and many escapades over the years ensure his story and his brief but memorable life will be celebrated and shared by all those who knew him, loved him, and miss him.
Family and friends are encouraged to drop by and share their favorite memories of Chase online at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home. A celebration of Chase’s life will be announced by his family at a later date.
