Claire Nelson

Claire Nelson, age 70 of Greenbrier, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 after a long battle with dementia. She was born December 2, 1953 in Englewood, NJ to the late Vinny Hermann and Elizabeth Wells.
She was best known as a free spirit and adventurer. She attended the original Woodstock, lived in Jamaica for many years, and was known for her love of dancing in her later years.
She was the loving mother of Jonathan Nelson (Anna) and Emily Raitt (Jeremy), grandmother of Eliza, Emmett, and Joshua. She is also survived by siblings Cynthia (Mike), Tom (Edda), Chris, and Steve (Michelle), and other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 23rd, at 6:00 p.m. at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
