Cleon Marion Koone, of Wooster, Arkansas, passed away on March 30, 2025, surrounded by his family. Cleon was born September 13, 1934, in Cleveland, Arkansas, just North of the New Liberty church of Christ.

Cleon attended Scotland Public Schools, Wonderview Public Schools and Vilonia Public Schools. The family moved to Wooster in 1947, and he then graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1951, at the age of 16.

He started working for Western Electric and was transferred to Missouri where he met Marilyn at a Little League ballpark. They were Married July 3,1954; the newlyweds moved to Gary, Indiana because of his work. After several years in Gary, Cleon was transferred to Arkansas. Cleon and Marilyn lived in Conway where they raised 4 sons. They moved to Wooster in 1974, where Cleon lived until his passing.

Cleon served on the Conway School Board in the late 1960s. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 34 years of service. He worked on his farm, and he continued to serve his community.

In serving his community, Cleon served as a Justice of the Peace for 12 years. Cleon was honored as Wooster Citizen of the year which was one of his favorite accomplishments. He was a member of the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association and served as an officer. Cleon was a Freemason, and he was a member of the Greenbrier church of Christ.

Cleon was proceeded in death by his wife, Marilyn Reba Koone of 68 years; his parents, Marion Daniel Koone and Carrie (Henley) Koone; and by his brothers, Max Koone and Neal Koone.

Cleon is survived by his sister Ila Koone; four sons, Mark Koone (Donna) of Cleveland, AR, Terry Koone (Jackie) of Monticello, AR, Michael Koone of Wiley, TX and David Koone (Michelle) of Conway, AR; 6 grandchildren, Kevin Koone (Shea) of Dongola, IL, Kristen Marter (David) in Monticello, AR, Melaine Bradford (Matthew) of Vilonia, AR, Steven Koone of Monticello, AR, Kayla Harrod (Carl) of Greenbrier, AR and Owen Koone (Jenna) of Greenbrier, AR; and 11 great grands, Dessie McCarty, Grant Pruitt, Brayden Bussell, Madison Bussell, Flint Koone, Jansen Koone, Beckett Koone, Ava Harrod, Shelby Koone, Brooks Harrod and Allie Jean Koone.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Stephanie with Arkansas Hospice, and Greenbrier Senior Center.

There will be some men at the Koone residence to receive any food or cards given to the family for support or encouragement during the service.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 10:00am on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Greenbrier church of Christ with burial at Bethlehem Cemetery.
