Connie Begley

Connie Norene Skinner, age 70, of Shirley, Arkansas, passed away August 30th, 2025. Connie was born on December 17th, 1954, to the late Arvil and Ruth Skinner.

She is preceded by her parents; her son, Robert Hill; stepson, Doug Begley; step – grandchildren, Terry Hall and Clint Begley; the father of her children, John Hill; and the father of stepchildren, Sam Begley.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Denice Hill; stepdaughters, Deanna Krousey, Michelle Acree, and Misty Begley; stepson, Sam “Junior” Begley; half-brother, Arvil D. Skinner; nephews, Colby and Aaron Skinner; grandchildren, Kailee Ruth Hill and Hayden Jackson; eleven step – grandchildren; and a great grandchild, Aurora Gomez; and many other step – great grandchildren.

She enjoyed learning how to crochet from her mother, Ruth, as well as working crosswords, listening to music on her record player, reading mysteries, selling Avon, playing Bingo, cooking for the holidays and spending time with her friends and family.

Later in life, she enjoyed singing Karaoke with the love of her life, Glen Williams, who shared her love of Elvis Presley music. She also liked shopping and cooking with Glen’s stepdaughter, Jamie Watts, as well as taking care of their beloved pet, Maui.

A memorial service will be held at Wilcox Family Funeral Home in Greenbrier, AR. on Friday, September 5th, 2025, at 10:00 am.
