Cynthia "Cyndi" VanPelt Bailey

Cynthia “Cyndi” VanPelt Bailey, 67, of Greenbrier, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 12, 2025. She was born February 7, 1958, in Houston, TX to Carolyn VanPelt Gean and the late Jimmie VanPelt.

Cyndi was raised in Shady Grove, and graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1976, Cyndi met Lee in high school. They were married for 33 years and truly honored their vows of taking care of each other. They deeply loved each other, and they shared a very sweet relationship together. She was an x-ray technician for 38 years, but her main job was daughter, wife, CeCe, mother, sister, and friend. Cyndi was a gentle soul who took care of everyone she loved and knew. She loved quilting, puzzles, gardening, and tending to her flower beds. Cyndi loved her animals, especially her dogs.

She now joins her father; her husband, Lee Bailey; and her sister, Vickie Carroll.

Cyndi is survived by her twins, Zach (Jorge) and Rachel (Jake); grandson, Case; granddaughter, Caroline; mother, Carolyn (Bud); nephews, Tyler Carroll and Tanner Carroll; niece, Kelly Vickery; and brother-in-law, Jimmie Carroll.

There will be a funeral service held in her honor on Wednesday, December 17th at Bethlehem Baptist Church, at 10:00 am with a graveside following at Bethlehem Cemetery. A visitation will be on Tuesday, December 16th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
