Danny Ray Fulmer

Danny Ray Fulmer left his pain behind on May 6, 2025, at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 9 days. He was born on December 27, 1949, to Bennie Ray and Margaret Ann Sims Fulmer. To know Danny was to love him. There was always laughter and stories. Even when he didn't feel well, he would crack jokes to make you smile because he was happy if you were happy. Danny was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish and hunt. Crappie is the best fish to eat, so when he caught more catfish than crappie, he would hoard it. Fish fries were a lot of work, but my dad, along with family and friends, worked hours cooking with love for all the friends and loved ones who showed up. Daily, he would take his drive around Holland. He would watch for turkeys, squirrels, and deer. This brought him great peace and joy. Thank you to the sweet ladies from Gentiva hospice for the care and compassion that was given. Thank you to Conway Regional Medical Center for allowing us to visit and call as we needed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ann Fulmer, grandparents Joe and Nona Shaw Fulmer and John and Ola Lee Sims. He leaves behind his best riding partner, his father, Bennie Ray Fulmer, his loving sister, Sherry Sellers (John), his beloved daughter, Lori Ponder, granddaughters Taylor Vaughan, Shelley Ponder, and Paige Ponder, grandson Shane Cook, great-grandchildren Zander Vaughan and Oakley Farmer, his loving friend Kelly Clarke, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He will be greatly missed, but he will be waiting for us at the pearly gates. Jesus brought him comfort and peace in the end as only He can do. His memorial will be held at Oakland United Methodist Church in Holland on May 31, 2025, at 1 p.m.
