David Mitchell Green, 69, of Higden, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2026, surrounded by his family, leaving behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished forever. He was born on February 27, 1957, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Clarence and Mattie Green.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Mitchell served his country honorably before spending more than 30 years in the upholstery business, where he was known for his hard work, craftsmanship, and dedication. Throughout his life, he found joy in simple pleasures and lived life on his own terms.

Mitchell loved the outdoors and felt most at home near the water. Whether he was fishing, hunting, swimming, camping, or simply enjoying nature, he embraced every opportunity to be outside. He was especially known for fishing from his jet skis, a pastime that became part of his legend among family and friends. In true Mitchell fashion, he even spent time living in a tent, enjoying the freedom and adventure that came with the outdoor life he loved so much.

A man of deep faith, Mitchell loved the Lord and spent countless hours reading his Bible. His faith guided his life and was evident in the way he treated others.

Mitchell never met a stranger and could always be counted on to bring laughter wherever he went. He had a gift for telling jokes, making people smile, and brightening even the toughest days. His sense of humor, quick wit, and playful spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

More than anything, Mitchell loved his family. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather who treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. The love he shared with them will remain a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Though he will be deeply missed, Mitchell's memory will live on in every fishing trip, every campfire, every laugh shared among loved ones, and every story told about his adventures. To his grandchildren, he will forever be known as "Pepaw's Legend."

His life was a testament to faith, family, laughter, and living each day to the fullest.

He is preceded in death by parents, Clarence Clifton Green and Mattie T. Green; uncle, Gerald Bell; and cousin, Kim Peck.

Mitchell is survived by his two children, Clifton (Elizabeth) Green, and Sarai (Austin) Green-Wallis; grandchildren, Gabriel Wallis, Nevah Wallis, Isaiah Green, and Abigale Green; sister, Regina Rohr; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
