He is preceded by his parents; grandparents, T.J. and Inez Raney; second father, Earl Heath; brother, Richard Shewmaker Jr.
He is survived by his children, Kathryn Shewmaker, Kelly Shewmaker, David (Jackie) Shewmaker Jr., Sarah (Rustin) Hitchcock; grandchildren, Dawson, Addison, Carson, Dylan; and sister-in-law, Betty Shewmaker.
