Diana Sue Beene
October 28, 1958 — September 23, 2024
Diana Sue Beene was born to Harold Louis and Macel Rhodes on October 28, 1958. Diana was the baby of 9 children born to Harold and Macel. She grew up in Stuttgart Arkansas.
She was the biological mother of Tonya Lynn French, William Charles French, Russell Cole French, and Matthew Lee French.
Diana met and married the love of her life, William Lee “Sonny” Beene, on April 16, 2004. With that beautiful connection, our family grew with the addition of Mandy Lynn, Sonny’s daughter.
Diana was a loving mother to hundreds if not thousands, her heart was that big! She spent her life working in many restaurants. She started out at June’s Cafe in Clinton Arkansas in 1975. She worked there with “Mamaw” Eileen Richardson until Mamaw had to close the doors in 1993.
She has worked at many other places since then, Wendy’s in Conway, McDonalds, Western Sizzlin, to name a few. She felt almost everyone she worked with became family! All the youngins were NanaBanana’s babies.
She had such an amazing heart giving of herself to all customers, her love radiated from her eyes and smile.
But, she also had spunky sass! Those who got to know her knew nanny could go from love to spice really quick to defend someone she loved. Her amazingly sassy humor was the funniest thing to experience. She may have been tiny in structure but her mind and heart were the size of the world!
She is preceded in death by her parents and 7 of her nine siblings, her son Russell Cole French, her grand daughter, Sunny Lee Naff, many other family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Lynn French, sons William Charles French, her son USAF Tech Sargent Matthew Lee French (Denise Lynn) their children Scout Blythe French and Grady Everette French. Daughter Mandy Lynn Naff (Robby Lee), Grand daughter Izabella Faith and grandson Zephania Slade Naff. Grand daughters Alexis Skye and Mackenzie Shaye, great grand babies Brynlee Dean, Damon Allen, and Aurelia Darleen. Her sister Emily Wilson, and many nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren Jacobi Mateo French, Cole Dane French, and Beatrice Diane French. In total she had 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren children.
There will not be a service per Momma’s wishes. We will privately get together as a family to remember NanaBanana.
Special thank you goes out to all who were there to love on my mother over her 66 years. Those of you who poured love into her will always hold a special place in our family’s hearts and minds! Loving all of you made her heart sing!
