Donna Jo Barton
August 14, 1933 — April 11, 2023
Donna Jo (Steele) Barton of Greers Ferry, AR, and previously Sterling, IL, peacefully departed her earthly body late Tuesday night on April 11, 2023. She was born in Valley View, Arkansas to the late Marion Edgar Steele and Francis Luvenia (Austin) Steele.
Donna, or "Nana" as she was known to many that knew and loved her, was a woman of God. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Believer, prayerful, humble, kind, selfless, faithful- these are all words that describe her. She dedicated many years fulfilling the Lord's calling of Healing Ministry, was blessed to work as a nurse and acted as a caregiver to her late daughter, Teresea. Donna was also a Charter Member and Elder of The First Assembly God Church of Greers Ferry, AR.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, brother Ronnie Steele, grandparents, her loving husband, William "Bill" Wesley Barton, daughter Teresea Diane (Barton) Seidel, and three great grandchildren.
She is survived by her sister Paula (Jerry) Cole of Harrisburg, AR, Grandson Richard (Tara) Curtis of Dixon, IL, Granddaughter Aundrea (Johnny) Tackett of Greers Ferry, AR, and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Services will be held at The First Assembly God Church in Greers Ferry, AR on Saturday April 15, 2023 with viewing at 1:00 PM and service at 2:00 PM. Interment to follow at Woodland Memorial Park near Fairfield Bay, AR. All are welcome to join this celebration of life.
