Donna Marie Love, 76, of Quitman, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2025. She was born on September 1, 1948, in Helena, Arkansas to James Cecil Rodden Sr. and Daphna Mae Rodden.
Donna was a leader, a mother, a mentor, and an inspiration to all who knew her. Selfless yet strong, she always stood up for herself and others when needed. Above all, she had a deep love for horses. In fact, she purchased her first horse before ever buying her first car. Donna was not only a skilled horsewoman—breaking, training, and breeding exceptional horses—but she also passed on her knowledge to many. Numerous students under her guidance went on to compete and achieve remarkable success, placing and winning at state, regional, and national equestrian competitions. It’s impossible to capture in just a few words all that Donna accomplished and contributed to the lives of others. Her impact on this world was immense, and she will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, sweet angel.
She was preceded by her parents, JC Sr. and Daphna Rodden; husband of 49 years, Larry Love; son, Robin Williams; siblings, Mary Claussen, JC Rodden Jr., and Floyce Bennett.
Donna is survived by her siblings, Barbara McNeill, Sandra Kay Ferebee, Jerry Rodden; lots of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Memorial service will be at 2:00pm at LifeSong Baptist Church on Friday, February 7, 2025, with Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating.
