Donnavon Roland Troxler, 79, of Conway passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Conway. He was a former U.S. Postal Service employee, retiring after a 36-year-long career. Born May 12, 1944, in Batesville, he was a son of the late Carroll and Velma Lawhorn Troxler.
He was married for 34 years to the former Glenece Stewart of Conway, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Darin Troxler and William Kyle Troxler of Conway, and one grandson, Walker Troxler of Conway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold L. Troxler.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving a two-year stint while stationed in Alaska. After the service, he attended college before owning and operating a watermelon farm. He started with the Postal Service as a temporary employee in Missouri before transferring to Little Rock where he spent the vast majority of his career. He was an avid automobile enthusiast, who also enjoyed his retirement by fishing and spending time with his grandson.
A graveside service by Wilcox Family Funeral Home of Greenbrier will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bethlehem Cemetery in Greenbrier with Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. Pallbearers will be Heath Dycus, Jason Dycus, Stan Yielding, Matt Wilcox, Stewart Wilcox, Spencer Wilcox, Clayton Nabholz, Chris Valentine and Greg Cunningham.
