Doris Jean (Cottrill) Lybarger, 73, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away on November 21, 2022.
Dori, as she was loving called, was born in Mays Landing, New Jersey on September 22, 1949. She graduated from Champion High School.
Dori was married to Robert (Frank) Lybarger on September 20, 1982. They were married 40 years.
Dori spent her life serving and loving on people as well as animals. She showed Persian cats, many breeds of dogs, loved watching Arabian horse shows and bull riding (always rooting for the bull). She firmly believed that she would see her faithful four legged companions, Misty, Oscar and Andy in heaven. She served people with her whole heart from leading youth group, attending bible studies, singing with Frank and Lori, and being at church every time she was able and the doors were opened. She enjoyed camping, playing Uno and especially giving Frank a hard time. She was an amazing hostess and loved to bake and cook full meals-never letting anyone go hungry in her house. She was often found in the kitchen singing and dancing around full of joy. She retired from Conway Human Development Center where she loved on and cared for disabled adults. She loved Christmas and spent countless hours decorating her home from top to bottom and always made sure that Jesus was the center of the celebration. When a time came that Dori was limited in her physical capabilities, she continued to show her love of God, family, her church and animals. There isn’t anyone who came across her that she didn’t give a big smile, hug and her famous “I love you”.
Dori is survived by her spouse, Frank; her children, Cory Clark and Lora (Josh) Cottle-Alexander (nee Clark); step-children, Lisa Koch and Laura Graskewicz; grandchildren, James, Jeremy (Alana), Julianna and Jaelynn Cottle, Hope (Nicholaus) Wax (nee Clark), Beth Anne Coffman, Nicholas and Justyn Koch, Derek (Sara) Graskewicz, Preston (Mackendra) Garrett and Drew Garrett; great-grandchildren, Asher and Everleigh Wax, Evelyn Graskewicz; siblings, Ron E. Cottrill and Linda I (John E.) Davis; adopted family, too many to list as Dori loved everyone as if they were her own.
Dori is preceded in death by her parents, Earl George and Lora Maxine Cottrill; sister, Freda Marlene Cottrill; grandson, Jon D. Graskewicz; nephew, Jason Lee Davis.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 am at Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene, followed by funeral services officiated by Pastor Steve Thrasher. Burial will be private following the funeral at Shady Groves Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
