Dottie served 12 years in the Unites States Air Force where she obtained the grade of Master Sergeant. Dottie married Ronald Cox on 22nd July 1988 in Clinton, Arkansas. She enjoyed country music and cooking.
Dottie is preceded in death by her father, George Dye; mother, Lesetta Dye; brother, George Dye Jr.; sister, May DeLeersnyder; nephew, Jeff Hammond.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Cox, of Greenbrier, Arkansas; two sisters, Kay Freese and Dixie (Harry) Hammond of Sedalia, Missouri; a stepdaughter, Glenna (Chris) Laymon of Greenbrier, Arkansas; stepson, Russell (Ashley) Cox of Conway, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kenli Cox, Reece Cox, Grace Laymon; three nephews, Roger and Spencer Hammond of St. Louis, Missouri, and Edward Franke of Sedalia, Missouri; two nieces, Mary Dannon of Dallas, Texas and Peggy Bohannon, Shawness, Kansas.
Family will have a private service.
