Frederick "Billy" William Mauterstock III

Frederick “Billy” William Mauterstock III, age 68, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away on February 3, 2026, at Conway Regional Hospital.

Billy was born on April 28, 1957, in Tucson, Arizona, to Frederick Mauterstock II and Joyce Mauterstock. He lived fiercely and fast and was truly one of a kind. To know him was to love him—and he knew many people. He was rough around the edges, but he was always someone you could count on. Whether it was family, friends, or even friends of the family, Billy was quick to respond and show up when he was needed.

He didn’t know how to rest. Billy worked hard his entire life and continued working right up until he could no longer, just before being admitted to the hospital. He lived a full, wild, and unforgettable life and was deeply loved by many.

Billy had many children—both biological and non-biological. Still, he loved and cared for them all the same, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and love shown through his many acts of servanthood, even if he didn’t realize that was what he was doing.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Mauterstock; son Jacob Mauterstock (Samantha); daughter Holly (Troy); son Chip (Melissa); daughter Meghan; son Jacob McCready (Krissy); and daughter Mary (Shawn); as well as his grandchildren Kellee (Koby), Andrea, Dylan, Kendall, Lacey, Ava, Will, Luke, Bronson, Arabella, Ayden, and Brayden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Mauterstock II and Joyce Mauterstock, and his sisters, Dawn and Diane.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Wilcox Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Church, with Troy Baker officiating.
