Garnet Kay Quimby
May 5, 1938 — September 20, 2023
Garnet K. Quimby of Roland, AR made her transition on September 20, 2023. She was born on May 5, 1938, in Minot, ND to the late Arthur and Florence Schwope.
Garnet’s parents were homesteading pioneers who raised a family of eight, and she was the last surviving member.
After fifty-five years together, she is survived by her husband, Douglas (fifty fourth anniversary, Oct. 19th), many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
She was an ordained Unity Minister, great counselor, teacher, and administrator. Garnet was a Navy Veteran during Korea; she was a great American patriot. Garnet was talented, fun, artistic, kind, dedicated, and a VA volunteer. She enjoyed making fidget blankets for VA patients.

There will be a celebration of life on November 18th at Enchanted Evening, at 2:00pm.
