Geneva Josey Owens, 77, of Greenbrier passed from this life on Friday, May 15, 2015. She was born November 20, 1937 in Clinton, Arkansas to Gus Cooley and Beulah Blair Cooley.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three sons Tim Payne, Benny Payne and Eddie Payne.
Mrs. Owens is survived by her husband of 43 years, Harlan David Owens, daughters Joann Rolen of Clinton, Michelle Collins (Bryon) of Greenbrier, son Dallas Payne (Sharon) of Texas, sisters Gustua Wallace of Florida, Betty Moore (Jerry) of Florida, Loveda Cass (Eldon) of Indiana and brother John Cooley of Indiana. Other survivors include several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at 10am on Monday, May 18, 2015 in the chapel of Bishop-Crites Funeral Home with Bro. Gaylon King officiating.
The family would like to say a special thank you Jessica, Tammy and all of the nurses and staff at Arkansas Hospice for the love and compassionate care shown to Mrs. Owens.
