George Eugene Wise, 80, of Jonesboro passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014. He was born on Thursday, December 14, 1933, in Jonesboro, to the late J.H. and Georgie (Montgomery) Wise.
George was a loving father and grandfather. He was a United States Navy Veteran and retired concrete finisher.
Those left to mourn his passing are his four daughters, Candy Taylor, Nancy Fitzpatrick and Brenda Bobbitt all of Jonesboro, and Patsy Harrison of Greenbrier; brother, Lepoe Wise of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren, Phillip and Jaclyn Bobbitt, Billy Jean, Jarred, Derrick, Nathan LeRoy, Kristina, and Ally Fitzpactrick.
George is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mildred (Green) Wise; daughter, Donna Jordan; three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in the chapel of Bishop- Crites Funeral Home with Lepoe Wise officiating. Burial will follow in McNew Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 1:00p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tony Harrison, Steve Taylor, Darren Jordan, Kevin, Paul and Carl Wise.
