Grant Alexander Brown

Grant Brown, 26, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away April 15, 2026. He was born on July 18, 1999, in Conway, Arkansas, to Wayne and Angela Brown.

A proud graduate of Greenbrier High School, Grant was a distinguished honors student and a standout three-sport athlete in football, baseball, and basketball. His talent on the football field earned him All-Conference honors for three consecutive years and All-State recognition during his junior and senior seasons. Grant’s intellect earned him many academic scholarships, leading him to Arkansas Tech University to study mechanical engineering. Though he received various offers, he chose Arkansas Tech, where he began his collegiate football career as a walk-on. Through his immense heart and tireless work ethic, he quickly earned a full athletic scholarship. 

Grant’s greatest joy and accomplishment was his family. He married his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life, Lynnlee, in 2020. Together, they shared two beautiful daughters, Norah Wayne and Ruby Dean. Above all, Grant adored and deeply loved his family and dedicated his life to them. He recently returned to college to complete his mechanical engineering degree while working full time to provide for his family. Grant was a loving soul and had an infectious personality that made people want to be with him. He was a natural-born leader with a heart bigger than life and approached every aspect of life with passion. Beyond his athletic and academic pursuits, he was a poet and a bird enthusiast. He was a member of New Life Church in Greenbrier and lived with a genuine faith in God. 

Grant is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Brown; and his grandparents, Don and Sarah Brown. 

He is survived by his loving wife Lynnlee; his precious daughters, Norah Wayne (5) and Ruby Dean Brown (2); his mother, Angela Vanderslice Brown; his brothers, Jake (Haleigh) Brown and Sean (Britney) Brown; and adopted brother, Bradley Hedrick; his niece, Iris Brown; and nephew, River Brown; and his grandparents, David and Patty Vanderslice.

 A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 21st, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wilcox Funeral Home in Greenbrier, and the funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22nd, at New Life Church in Greenbrier.
