Harley Thomas Hooper was born December 8, 1954 in Poteau, OK to
Tom and Jo Ann Hooper, and passed away on March 9, 2012.
Harley graduated from Russellville High School and Oklahoma State
University with a degree in Mechanical Design. Harley's
career as a mechanical design engineer took him to various towns in
three different states.
Harley is survived by wife Susan Bell Hooper; daughters Allison
Celeste Hooper and Haley Elise Hooper of Conway, grandson Maddox
Cameron Fulfer of Conway, and parents Tom and Jo Ann Hooper
of Fort Smith, AR. Harley is also survived by four
sisters, Martha (Tommy) Marlar-Van Buren, AR; Peggy (David)
Sprague-Dallas, TX; Emily Hooper-Fort Smith, AR and Sarah
Hooper-Fort Smith, AR He is also survived by two sisters-in-law,
Marilyn (Jerry) Clay-Crockett,TX and Norma Bates-Dallas, TX
as well as many nephews and nieces, and very special friend and
fishing buddy of many years, Ray Clark of Conway, AR.
Harley was a true outdoorsman, an avid bass fisherman and duck
hunter. He also enjoyed playing golf.
Harley was a wonderful son, loving husband, father, grandfather,
brother-in-law, uncle and friend. ALS is not victorious;
Harley is free from its grip and face to face with our Lord and
Savior. We are praising the Lord for his wonderful grace and
mercy.
A memorial service for Harley will be held at 3pm Wednesday
March 14, at oneChurch in Conway, AR, with Paul Hudson
officiating.
