Harold Gene Ruple of Cabot, Arkansas, 84 years old, passed on November 8, 2024, born November 24, 1939 in Acklin Gap, Arkansas, to parents, Doss and Vera Johnston Ruple.
He was a United States Army Veteran and served from 1963 – 1965, then was reserve status until 1969. Harold retired from the United States Postal Service. He loved sports, his favorite team was the St. Louis Cardinals, and he also liked the Arkansas Razorbacks, and the Dallas Cowboys.
He is preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Carroll Dean Ruple; brother, Johnny (Marie) Dunn; sisters, Odessa Hegi, Ruby Tucker, Freda Cato, Theda Reed, Geneva Avra, Louis Tascott, and Joyce Dunn.
Harold is survived by his wife, Martha Rowlett Ruple; daughters, Dena Merriman of Fayetteville, Marion (Jim) Hedrick of Nashville, and Andrea McFall of Lonoke; son, Paul McFall of Cabot; granddaughters, Alex (Joshua) Reid, Regan (Mario) Glover of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandson, PJ McFall of Greenbrier, Arkansas; granddaughters, Emma and Maggie Reid; brother-in-law, Carroll Rowlett, of North Little Rock, Arkansas; special nephew, Fred (Ann) Hegi of Little Rock, Arkansas and special niece, Brenda Billman, of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home with service following at 2:00pm with Brother Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating and burial following to Needs Creek Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be PJ McFall, Fred Hegi, Ricky Rowlett, Ronnie Rowlett, Jim Hedrick, Regan Glover and Alex Reid.
