Harry G. Snowden passed way April 24, 2022 at the age of 87. He was born to Samuel Maurice Snowden and Margaret Stevens Snowden in Brookland, Arkansas on December 3, 1934.
After high school Harry joined the Army and served as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. He had a long career in law enforcement and retired from Arkansas Highway Patrol in 1999. Harry was a member of Mayflower United Methodist Church and a true people person. He never met a stranger, and he especially enjoyed his many friends and acquaintances at Bates Field and Stream in Mayflower.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by infant brother, Billy Snowden; sister, Carol Mobbs; brother, Dan Snowden and stepmother, Winnie Bell Snowden.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Norma Jean; son, Jerry Snowden and wife, Missy; daughter, Terri Harmon and husband, Doug; sister, Jackie Neimann; brother, Sam Snowden and wife, Jackie; grandchildren, Brandy Reeves and husband, Alvin, Rachel Keller and husband, Lamar, and B.J. Snowden; and great-grandchildren, Andrea Reeves, Alyssa Snowden, Townes Keller, and Margaret Keller.
The family will honor Harry’s request that no service be held.
