Hazel Rae King

Hazel Rae King, 6 weeks old, of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to Heaven to be with the Lord, while held in her Mother’s loving arms, on December 7, 2024. She was born on October 24, 2024, in Conway, Arkansas to Hayden and Mackenzie King. In her short time here on earth, Hazel was dearly loved by all who knew her. She proved to be a very strong and tough girl, lovingly referred to as “a fighter” and “feisty” by her NICU nurses. Hazel loved to be held and enjoyed being told stories by her family.

She is preceded in death by great grandparents, Albert Vangilder and Joe King.

Hazel is survived by her parents, Hayden and Mackenzie King; brother, James King; aunts, Hayley King and Madison Vangilder; uncle, Michael Vangilder; grandparents, Rusty and Sissy King, Gary Vangilder and Samantha Hanard; great grandparents Deanie King, Sharon Martin, Marcel and Patricia Hanard, Wordia Vangilder; many cousins, family, and friends.

Memorial service will be at 10:00am on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home with Brother Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. A celebration of life will follow at Conway Expo Center from 4:00pm-6:00pm for all who wish to attend.

The family would like to thank Conway Regional staff and Arkansas Children’s Hospital staff for the wonderful care they provided Hazel. They would specifically like to recognize Dr. Holland, Dr. Hughes, nurse Jaclyn, nurse Tasha, nurse Jenn, nurse Becca, nurse Amanda, and her team of NICU providers.
