Helen “Dianne” Lovelady Edwards, of Vilonia, Arkansas, peacefully entered the arms of her Lord and Savior, on October 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Dianne was born on September 19, 1953, to the late Andrew and Flora Dean Mahan Lovelady of Martinville, Arkansas. She graduated from Greenbrier High School and attended Petit Jean Vo-Tech. In 1974, Dianne married the love of her life, Dale Edwards, and together they shared 49 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, faith, and family. In 1984, she began her career at Hendrix College, where she faithfully worked until her retirement in 2015.
Dianne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. Originally from the Greenbrier community, Dianne became a proud Vilonia Eagle, although she never forgot her Greenbrier roots and often lovingly teased her children about being “part Panther.” She had a remarkable talent for sewing and could often be found mending clothes, making dresses, and sewing baby blankets for her grandchildren. She also loved to cook and found great joy in preparing meals for her family, who especially cherished her Reese’s peanut butter cheesecake.
To those who knew her, Dianne was a gentle and loving soul with a warm smile, a kind heart, and beautiful snow-white hair. To her family, she was so much more; She was Momma, Grandma, and “Di.” Although her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds peace in knowing she is resting in her heavenly home, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Her love and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Dianne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale Edwards; her daughter, Kim King; her grandson, Taylor Reaves; and her brother, Drew Lovelady.
She is survived by her five children, Karen Edwards, Melissa (David) Bowie, Amanda (Clay) Winn, Tiffany (Brian) Shannon, and Blake Edwards; her brother, Scott (Laveane) Lovelady; her sister-in-law, Karen Lovelady; 17 grandchildren; Mady, Zoe, Tanner, Trent, Victoria, Peyton, Hayven, Zachary, Morgan, Willie, Brenton, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Mason, Jillian, Zach, and Tyler; and 22 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Clay Winn, David Bowie, Brian Shannon, Jeff King, Scott Lovelady, Jared Fowlkes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Shaw, Rick Barnard, Gary Lambert, Ed Sellers, Jeff Edwards, Jerrell Coker
