Ivan Sparlin
September 13, 1932 — June 12, 2014
Ivan Leo Sparlin 81, of Greenbrier went to be with the Lord on Thursday June 12, 2014. He was born September 13, 1932 in Seneca, Missouri to Mona Manford Sparlin and Mary Bowan Sparlin. Mr. Sparlin was of the Baptist faith and a member of Springhill Baptist Church. He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Mr. Sparlin is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Joyce Sparlin of Greenbrier, sons Michael Sparlin and wife Jackie of Victorville, California, Jon Sparlin and wife Kimberly of Phelan, California, and Carl Sparlin and wife Viktoria of Conway. Other survivors include brother Gordon Sparlin, 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren along with a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11am Monday June 16, 2014 at Springhill Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Stephenson officiating.
