On November 20, 2023 J.L. Roe passed from this earthly world of pain and sorrow to heaven where he is living in a perfect body with Jesus and all his loved ones. He was born in Little Rock on June 3, 1944 to Willie and Clark Roe.

J.L. grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Little Rock Tech High School in 1963. He worked for Teletype, Superior Forwarding, Carco Rentals, Colonial Bakery, Nationsway Transport, and ABF Freight.

J.L. was born in a tourist court on Asher Avenue across from Coleman Dairy. When he needed milk they gave it to his mother.

Some of his happiest years growing up were spent at Starrs Wrecking yard on Asher. J.L. worked so very hard all his life, loving and caring for his family. He loved working on old cars, especially his 1941 Chevy and his 1977 Chevy truck. He really enjoyed the car races at I30 Speedway and NASCAR.

J.L. loves Jesus, and was a member of Springhill Baptist Church Greenbrier, Arkansas. His place of rest will be on the street where he grew up, Asher Avenue, in Roselawn Cemetery. J.L. will be missed so very much by his wife, Jane (Joyce) Roe and son, Jason. He also leaves behind his sister, Frances Sobol (Fred); nephew, Jeff Sobol of Libertyville, Illinois; niece, Jennifer Seyller (Kevin) of Pingree, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am Tuesday, November 28, 2023 Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Wilcox Family Funeral Home with burial following Roselawn Memorial Park.
