James Thomas Davis Jr., 44, of Cabot, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2024. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 2, 1979 to James Thomas Davis Sr., and Tammy Kay Briley.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, C.H. and Pat Briley, and Doyle and Evelyn Davis; brother, Austin Cartwright.
JT is survived by his son, Elijah Davis; mother, Tammy (George) Beck; father, James Thomas (Linda) Davis Sr.; stepfather, James Cartwright; stepson, Ian Kight; brother, Dylan Cartwright; sisters, Maddie Cartwright and Peyton Cartwright; grandmother, Julia Elbert; aunt, Shawn (Craig) Johnston; sons mother, Kim Kight; a very special friend, Marie Seaton; and many cousins and friends.
He was a kind, gentle spirit with a God-given gift of seeing beauty in everyone he met. He loved his kids, fishing, all sports, NASCAR, dancing, playing pool, swimming, playing cards and chess.
He met each day with a smile and a willing spirit. He had joy in his heart that was contagious. He never met a stranger and he prided himself on being a cowboy, and a survivor.
He lived life on his own terms and was misunderstood by some, however he understood his purpose on this earth, he was here to love people and he touched more lives than most of us will ever know. He was raised in church and learned the word of God at a young age. He had a spirit that loved every soul he met just as Jesus instructed.
He is celebrating in heaven today and anxiously awaiting the rest of us to join him. In case he didn’t hear it enough thank you for all your kindness, love and generosity JT. We all loved you so much.
Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 2:00pm on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Wilcox Family Funeral Home with Brother Tim Nolan officiating.
