James (Jim) Silburn Hardy
July 31, 1946 — August 13, 2023
James Silburn Hardy (Jim), age 77, passed away August 13, 2023. Jim was born July 31, 1946 in Conway, Arkansas to parents Audra and Silburn Hardy.
Jim spent 25 years working as a lineman for Southwestern Bell as well as owning several private businesses throughout the years-Wooster Grocery, Pink Panther Arcade, and the Brierwood Restaurant.
Jim was an avid crappie fisherman and spent many hours over the years out fishing with friends. He was quick witted & loved a good joke. He was a math whiz who loved crossword puzzles & his daily Wordle.
He enjoyed recording & watching all old westerns - his favorite being Wagon Train. He never missed cheering on the Razorbacks’, regardless of the sport!
Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Jane; his parents; a sister, Charlotte Roberts; Kevin “Dino” Huett & Lisa Huett Martin.
He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Overton (Ford), Heather Kirby (Terry), and a stepson, Chad Huett (Jennifer) and grandchildren- Molly Overton Talbert (Jens), Meredith Overton, Susan Overton, Courtney Berry, Katie Huett, Nicholas Huett, Eric Huett, Abbylea Huett & Maggie Huett, and brand new great grandson Tatum Ford Talbert; a sister, Sharon Burnett and many more extended family members, as well as great friends & neighbors. Jim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and great friend to many….he will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on August 17, 2023 at Wilcox Family Funeral Home at 2:00pm, with a visitation beginning at 1:00pm.
