Jeffery Ray Pitman

Jeffery Ray Pitman, 59, of Greenbrier passed away from this life on November 21, 2016. He was born July 22, 1957 in Springfield, MO to Charles Arthur Pitman and Nancy Sue Jordan. He loved playing football and baseball in his youth and was successful at them both. He was selected at a young age to participate in the "Mickey Owens" baseball camp. He played football in his high school & college years also earning the title "All American". Jeffery earned a B.S. in History from Drury College in Springfield, Mo in 1979. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. Jeff had a kind heart, great fondness for animals and greeted everyone with a smile.
Jeffery was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Jordan.
Survivors include his father Charles Pitman and step-mother Sandy Pitman, brother Jacob Pitman and wife Misty Pitman along with several nieces and nephews who love and will miss him greatly.

A memorial service, officiated by Steve Thrasher, will be held at the Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene on November 23, 2016 at 1:00p.m.
